AAU FAQs

  • Crossover Sports Academy values integrity of sports, character of both coaches and players, and views the participation of sports a highly valuable experience to mold the character of all who participate.

    CSA has a focus on development and encourages each participant to dedicate to improving personal habits as part of the process for athletic development.

    CSA values competition and development through weekly training sessions and practices hosted 2-3 times per week.

    CSA club teams will travel however most tournaments are local Bay Area and Central Coast events. Special events that are out of area and requiring overnight stays are unique and special consideration is taken if such events are included.

    CSA coaches have experience at all levels; youth recreation, middle school, high school, and collegiate.

  • CSA will be hosting Boys Basketball Club teams in the Spring of 2024. Girls Basketball will be added in the summer of 2024. Additional club sports team opportunties will be added in the Fall of 2024.

  • CSA will have club teams ranging from age 12-17. Specific age groups will vary with each season and is based on participant registration.

  • CSA club team practice sites will vary based on the sport and season. Local schools, churches and community facilities. will be used for CSA club practices. Contact the coach for additional information.

  • The cost to participate on a Crossover Sports Academy AAU team varies with each sport and season. Player registration fees cover such expenses such as facility reservation fees, insurance, coaches compensation, player apparel packs (game uniforms, practice uniforms, t-shirts, tournament entry fees, etc.)

    Travel expenses such as meals, transportation, parking, lodging (if needed), are not covered by player registration fees.

    CSA is working to partner with local businesses, churches and private donors to help create sponsorships to help cover AAU program expenses including player fees.

    The estimated cost to participate on a Crossover Sports Academy AAU team ranges from $800-1500 per 12 week season.

    CSA will work with any player and family who needs financial assistance to participate in CSA programs.

  • Yes. Each participating member will need to get an “ATHLETE-INDIVIDUAL” membership from the official AAU website.

    Participants should register for the EXTENDED INSURANCE option.
